Edmundo Gomes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Turbonegro. Edmundo Silvas short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Edmundo Gomes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Turbonegro booed when Walter´S FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raí Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frank Dantas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Horácio da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Romero having to interfere. Guga de Castro hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Benjamim de Amaral, 38 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 40 played minutes Walter´S FC got a freekick which was hit by Erivaldo Fernandes. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Dantas was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Silva in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmundo Gomes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 58 minutes, Frank Dantas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Turbonegro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Dantas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 65th minute Breno Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Walter´S FC booed when Turbonegro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adilson de Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rogério Romero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Horácio da Fonseca in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Dantas in the 68th minute of play forced Walter´S FC's goalkeeper Edmundo Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rogério Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breno Simões in the 71st minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Walter´S FC's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Dantas came free, but Edmundo Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erivaldo Fernandes's late challenge caught a Turbonegro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erivaldo Fernandes helped the player get up and apologised. After 80 played minutes Walter´S FC got a freekick which was hit by Erivaldo Fernandes. If Frank Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Breno Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Romero having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horácio da Fonseca got free with Rogério Romero in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Breno Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Walter´S FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Turbonegro from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
