Clandestino FC's Perivaldo Velloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dito Chaves in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Dito Chaves made a precise shot to the right of Perivaldo Velloso. Clandestino FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Belmiro Lopes came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Clandestino FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Belmiro Lopes couldn't finish the play. Conrado Branco's late challenge caught a Ipaussu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Conrado Branco helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Clandestino FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Conrado Branco hit a great ball. Nando Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Perivaldo Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nando Paraibano in the 37th minute of the match. If Nando Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nando Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Belmiro Lopes made a kick off. Perivaldo Velloso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nando Paraibano went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 61st minute of the match, Dito Chaves tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Perivaldo Velloso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 72 minutes into the match, Belmiro Lopes notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Ipaussu's Washington da Costa. Washington da Costa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A hard shot 76 in the game by Nando Paraibano from a close distance when the talented Perivaldo Velloso managed to make a qualified save. Clandestino FC's players were relieved. 78 minutes into the match, Clandestino FC's Belmiro Lopes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Washington da Costa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 84th minute Dito Chaves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Perivaldo Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 86 minutes of play Clandestino FC's Conrado Branco was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Dito Chaves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perivaldo Velloso having to interfere.
