Ademar Rossi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Gualter de Moraes made a huge save. If Abel Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Donato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flávio de Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Juninho Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 33 minutes into the match, Christovinho's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Fernando Motta came free, but Gualter de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Umberto Godoi hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute Guilherme Donato shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juninho Tróia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flávio de Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juninho Tróia having to interfere. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Christovinho's goalkeeper Gualter de Moraes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Christovinho's Gualter de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Fernando Motta in the 43rd minute of play. Lúcio Miranda's late challenge caught a Ibuaco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lúcio Miranda helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute, Lúcio Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute Carlos Fernando Motta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualter de Moraes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Christovinho's João Carlos Zanette got a free kick in the 47th minute. Gualter de Moraes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Fernando Motta in the 49th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Fernando Motta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Delfim de Amorim was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Christovinho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ibuaco the free kick. After 53 played minutes Christovinho got a freekick which was hit by Delfim de Amorim. Raphael Negri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ibuaco's Carlos Fernando Motta in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Christovinho's goalie prevented a goal. Flávio de Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Juninho Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raphael Negri took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gualter de Moraes. Gualter de Moraes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Raphael Negri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gualter de Moraes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. After 70 minutes of play, Ibuaco's Carlos Fernando Motta made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gualter de Moraes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Carlos Fernando Motta hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Gualter de Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Fernando Motta, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abel Donato in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juninho Tróia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ibuaco's Carlos Fernando Motta got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Fernando Motta struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Gualter de Moraes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ibuaco. Guilherme Donato kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
