Cícero Guimarães blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Álvaro das Neves having to make a save. Sebastião de Amorim hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Sebastião de Amorim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Álvaro das Neves made a huge save. Ronaldinho Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Christiano Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cícero Guimarães stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Cícero Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cícero Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro das Neves having to interfere. When Cícero Guimarães came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the FeijoFlu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cícero Guimarães couldn't finish the play. Álvaro das Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cícero Guimarães, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 68 minutes into the match, SE Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastião de Amorim came free, but Álvaro das Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amadeu Rosado was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 69th minute. SE Palmeiras's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Álvaro das Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastião de Amorim in the 74th minute of play. Álvaro das Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cícero Guimarães, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After a rather tough play, SE Palmeiras's Tadeu Bittencourt got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 83 minutes in the game, Sebastião de Amorim dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Cícero Guimarães recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Álvaro das Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastião de Amorim in the 90th minute of the match. Sebastião de Amorim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Álvaro das Neves having to make a save. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
