Lirexus's Jailson Camargo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeu Bittencourt in the 3rd minute of play. Amadeu Rosado charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amadeu Rosado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 4 played minutes SE Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Rosado. Amadeu Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Toledo in the 10th minute of play forced SE Palmeiras's goalkeeper Álvaro das Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, SE Palmeiras's Amadeu Rosado got a free kick in the 17th minute. Ramiro Toledo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guga Garcia kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Ramiro Toledo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Álvaro das Neves was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramiro Toledo in the 28th minute of play forced SE Palmeiras's goalkeeper Álvaro das Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Álvaro das Neves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ramiro Toledo's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Jailson Camargo made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Amadeu Rosado sent off a good shot on target. Amadeu Rosado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jailson Camargo having to interfere. Ramiro Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michel Mangueira to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind SE Palmeiras's goalkeeper Álvaro das Neves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 54th minute, Ramiro Toledo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lirexus fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Michel Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SE Palmeiras's Álvaro das Neves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save SE Palmeiras from getting a goal against them. An unexpected shot in the 87th minute by Ramiro Toledo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ramiro Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the match, Lirexus's Michel Mangueira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Álvaro das Neves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Lirexus's zone, Amadeu Rosado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jailson Camargo came out of the goal and Amadeu Rosado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lirexus walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
