Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Leonel Pontes took the kick off in the first half of the match. Reginaldo Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonsinho Barral in the 2nd minute of play. In the 6th match minute, Toriba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Neiva to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute, Júlio Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patrick Penha took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Reginaldo Maciel. Toriba's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Reginaldo Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonsinho Barral in the 18th minute of play. Afonsinho Barral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 25 minutes into the game, Noé Manteola was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Toriba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itapoa the free kick. Noé Manteola hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Toriba's zone, Afonsinho Barral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reginaldo Maciel came out of the goal and Afonsinho Barral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the match, Leonel Pontes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reginaldo Maciel. Toriba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonel Pontes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 40th minute, César Queiroz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wellington Toledo. The goal made the score 1-1. Afonsinho Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Reginaldo Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for César Queiroz to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match Toriba got a corner. Itapoa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Noé Manteola ran over to the corner to take the kick. Leonel Pontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Reginaldo Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edu Pernambucano kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Afonsinho Barral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Reginaldo Maciel made a huge save. When Fausto Valadares came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Toriba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Valadares couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd match minute, Toriba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christiano Ramos to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes in the game Patrick Penha after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Reginaldo Maciel. In the 88th minute, Afonsinho Barral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reginaldo Maciel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 91st minute, Christiano Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute of the match Itapoa got a corner. Toriba's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Patrick Penha ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Itapoa's corner Patrick Penha fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Reginaldo Maciel quite easily take care of the ball. Itapoa's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
