Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Silvério Mendes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Luís Sena's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. In the last second Silvério Mendes throw himself and got hold of the ball when Pedro Luís Sena in the 13thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After 23 minutes of play, AEC Juta Três's Juninho Sampaio made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eurico Alagoano was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 25 minutes, João Paulo Abraão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GaloGordo FC and the AEC Juta Três players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th minute, João Paulo Abraão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 26 minutes, Haroldo Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AEC Juta Três's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haroldo Gaúcho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eurico Alagoano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Víktor Domingues in the 29th minute of the match. Edgar Berger hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, João Paulo Abraão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 37 minutes into the match, GaloGordo FC's goal looked a bit too open when João Carlos Valadares came free, but Eurico Alagoano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dalmo Simões's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Silvério Mendes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. In the 48th minute Juninho Sampaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eurico Alagoano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. João Carlos Valadares was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of GaloGordo FC booed when AEC Juta Três was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseu Mangueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ismael Abreu tried in the 54th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Eurico Alagoano a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 0-2. Juninho Sampaio charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juninho Sampaio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th minute, Haroldo Gaúcho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute of the match Dalmo Simões sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Silvério Mendes skillfully saved the ball. Eurico Alagoano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Carlos Valadares in the 67th minute of play. GaloGordo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dalmo Simões was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvério Mendes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Juninho Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Dalmo Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvério Mendes having to interfere. 92 minutes into the game, GaloGordo FC's Pedro Luís Sena nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Silvério Mendes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Silvério Mendes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dalmo Simões's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see GaloGordo FC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
