When Gerson Prado came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Queimadinhas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerson Prado couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Edmundo Rezende managed to get in a good position for a shot. The supporters of Queimadinhas booed when VIKINGS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cléber Mesquita didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to VIKINGS getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Cléber Mesquita hit a great ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Queimadinhas had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
