Spectators: 6664 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dedé Zilles took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 7th minute André Santana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aleandro Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Enrique Pontes managed to avoid a goal in the 10thth minute, when Descalvados's Dedé Zilles fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Aleandro Mesquita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerson Prado in the 17th minute of the match. Aleandro Mesquita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vânderson Macedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. When Gildo Abreu fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Queimadinhas's protests and gave Gildo Abreu a yellow card for diving instead. Gildo Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Enrique Pontes made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Dedé Zilles sent off a good shot on target. In the 24th minute, Edinho Barbosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Gerson Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Dedé Zilles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enrique Pontes was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Eliézer de Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edinho Barbosa got free with Enrique Pontes in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Eliézer de Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Descalvados's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliézer de Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Pontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vânderson Macedo was the one to do the kick off. 59 minutes into the match, Vânderson Macedo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Descalvados's Aleandro Mesquita. Aleandro Mesquita was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 62 minutes, Leandro Tepedino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Queimadinhas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leandro Tepedino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dedé Zilles struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Enrique Pontes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Descalvados. Gerson Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleandro Mesquita having to interfere. With a little luck, Descalvados's Aleandro Mesquita got control of the ball when André Santana tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Queimadinhas's zone, Eliézer de Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Pontes came out of the goal and Eliézer de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gerson Prado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Aleandro Mesquita made a huge save. In the 84th minute Eliézer de Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aleandro Mesquita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gerson Prado went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 92nd minute, Queimadinhas's Vânderson Macedo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aleandro Mesquita. Aleandro Mesquita yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. In the 97th minute, Gerson Prado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Queimadinhas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. The Queimadinhas supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Queimadinhas would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
