An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdir Santos in the 14th minute of play forced Vila Nova F.C's goalkeeper Osvaldo Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 17 minutes, Valdir Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galáctico FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdir Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manoel França fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Souza having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Oséias Senna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ari Fingkreuw was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 32nd minute, Valdir Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Moisés Vasconcelos might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Osvaldo Souza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moisés Vasconcelos ran back to his position shaking his head. Moisés Vasconcelos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Osvaldo Souza made a huge save. 35 minutes into the match, Vila Nova F.C's goalkeeper Osvaldo Souza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valdir Santos. Osvaldo Souza came out of the goal and Moisés Vasconcelos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Galáctico FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Vila Nova F.C were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oséias Senna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Osvaldo Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio Luís Maciel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Moisés Vasconcelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Osvaldo Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute, one of Galáctico FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Galáctico FC. Simão Eger placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After having played for 64 minutes, Moisés Vasconcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galáctico FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vila Nova F.C the free kick. Luís Paulo Loyola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Ari Fingkreuw made a huge save. Chants of Vila Nova F.C echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Galáctico FC had held the ball for most of the match.
