But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo de Almeida couldn't finish the play. It was 0-1, 10 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Buique's zone, Kiko Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdo Miranda came out of the goal and Kiko Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valdo Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kiko Andrade in the 18th minute of the match. Dadá Bittencourt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Renan Veloso's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute, Aníbal Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Renan Veloso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buique's supporters rose to their feet, but Renan Veloso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dadá Bittencourt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Kiko Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valdo Miranda was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. In the 41stth minute of the game Kiko Andrade who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Buique's Valdo Miranda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renan Veloso in the 45th minute of play forced Rosalandia's goalkeeper Dadá Bittencourt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dito Cerezo during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th minute, Dito Cerezo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Renan Veloso made a kick off. Aníbal Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dadá Bittencourt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renan Veloso in the 58th minute of play. Renan Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dadá Bittencourt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dito Cerezo, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. If Renan Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Rosalandia getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Marco Lucas hit a great ball. Dito Cerezo might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dadá Bittencourt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dito Cerezo ran back to his position shaking his head. Renan Veloso took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dadá Bittencourt. Dadá Bittencourt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. When Buique's Aníbal Azevedo in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rosalandia's goalie prevented a goal. Dadá Bittencourt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Renan Veloso's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Renan Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dadá Bittencourt having to interfere. Edmundo Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Renan Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Buique fully deserved thier win.
