An unexpectedly hard shot by João Pedro de Azevedo in the 12th minute of play forced Pulse F.C.'s goalkeeper Cafu Lucas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Davi Pereira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 13thth minute tested the skills of Mário Mello when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Orlando Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mário Mello was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Davi Pereira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Davi Pereira really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Clemente Baiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Pedro de Azevedo scored 1-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cafu Lucas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 30 minutes into the match, Caldeiroes's goal looked a bit too open when Dênis de Alcântara came free, but Mário Mello reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Augusto Baiano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caldeiroes's supporters rose to their feet, but Augusto Baiano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cafu Lucas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 36th minute, João Pedro de Azevedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cafu Lucas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Cafu Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Pedro de Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Pedro de Azevedo to make the kick off. With a little luck, Pulse F.C.'s Cafu Lucas got control of the ball when João Pedro de Azevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Fabrício Abraão came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Caldeiroes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabrício Abraão couldn't finish the play. Caldeiroes's Orlando Paulista got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 60 minutes of play, Caldeiroes's João Pedro de Azevedo made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cafu Lucas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mário Mello came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Pulse F.C.'s Davi Pereira. But to his dismay, Davi Pereira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by João Pedro de Azevedo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 69th minute João Pedro de Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cafu Lucas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cafu Lucas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Augusto Baiano went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. After 75 minutes, Jailson Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caldeiroes and the Pulse F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th minute, Jailson Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute, Augusto Baiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Orlando Paulista got free with Cafu Lucas in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Pulse F.C.'s zone, João Pedro de Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cafu Lucas came out of the goal and João Pedro de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute João Pedro de Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cafu Lucas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Pedro de Azevedo couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Caldeiroes could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pulse F.C. throughout the match.
