They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 53rd minute, Trahiry's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gustavo Pereira fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Renatinho Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sousa's supporters rose to their feet, but Renatinho Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cleiton Breckenfeld breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rômulo Souza charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rômulo Souza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Abel Vianna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frederico de Sousa's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Gustavo Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cleiton Breckenfeld having to interfere. When Gustavo Pereira came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Sousa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Pereira couldn't finish the play. 87 minutes into the match, Trahiry's goal looked a bit too open when Renatinho Lara came free, but Cleiton Breckenfeld reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, Jarbas de Lima sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sousa's Abel Vianna didn't even have to move. In the 95th minute, Renatinho Lara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sousa played a much better game than Trahiry and deserved their victory. The Trahiry players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
