After having played for 3 minutes, Jonathan Tepedino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Silvério Fantini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Luís Fábio da Mata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lino Vidal hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After having played for 16 minutes, Romário Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Assiz SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romário Barral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silvério Fantini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Guilherme Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Romário Barral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ademir Marques having to interfere. Luís Guilherme Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Silvério Fantini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silvério Fantini came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Bolicho's Lino Vidal. But to his dismay, Lino Vidal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 31st match minute, Assiz SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Simões to maneuver through the defense. Luís Guilherme Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Guilherme Martins in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silvério Fantini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dé Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvério Fantini having to interfere. Edson Pitta kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Silvério Fantini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dé Vargas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvério Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Guilherme Martins in the 45th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Guilherme Martins made a kick off. If Romário Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, Bolicho's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fábio da Mata came free, but Ademir Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dé Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvério Fantini having to interfere. Luís Fábio da Mata's late challenge caught a Bolicho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
