Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After a rather tough play, Groghom's Kauã de Amorim got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Assiz SC's Silvério Fantini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Assiz SC from getting a goal against them. Silvério Fantini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Vieira, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. 8 minutes into the game, Júlio Vieira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Groghom's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Assiz SC the free kick. The supporters of Assiz SC booed when Groghom was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Luís Fabiano Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Júlio Vieira came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Groghom fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio Vieira couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Assiz SC's Silvério Fantini got control of the ball when Luís Fabiano Rocha tried to sneak it across the goal line. When William Saraiva fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Assiz SC's protests and gave William Saraiva a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th minute, William Saraiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fellipe Vianna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fábio da Mata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fellipe Vianna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romário Barral in the 19th minute of the match. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Groghom's Júlio Vieira in the 21st minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Silvério Fantini was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Assiz SC through an amazing save. Paulinho Pires lost his temper 28 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Groghom! Silvério Fantini made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Luís Fabiano Rocha sent off a good shot on target. In the 42nd minute Luís Fábio da Mata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fellipe Vianna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Assiz SC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Fabiano Rocha made a kick off. Silvério Fantini didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Fabiano Rocha went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Luís Fabiano Rocha took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvério Fantini. Silvério Fantini dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After a rather tough play, Groghom's Kauã de Amorim got a free kick in the 60th minute. After 63 minutes of play, Groghom's Luís Fabiano Rocha made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silvério Fantini was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Groghom booed when Assiz SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurício Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnaldo de Lima's late challenge caught a Assiz SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arnaldo de Lima helped the player get up and apologised. In the 69th minute, Arnaldo de Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Assiz SC's William Saraiva tried to score from far away in the 70th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Assiz SC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. William Saraiva hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the match, Groghom's goalkeeper Fellipe Vianna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Romário Barral. After 77 played minutes Assiz SC got a freekick which was hit by Zé Paulo Branco. After recieving a nice pass, Groghom's Fred Mota tried to score from far away in the 78th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Luís Fabiano Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kauã de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvério Fantini having to interfere. Romário Barral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Fellipe Vianna made a huge save. If Arnaldo de Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 87th minute, Arnaldo de Lima got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Assiz SC's Silvério Fantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fabiano Rocha in the 91st minute of play. Groghom's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
