The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Gustavo Pereira sped through PHANTOM F. C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Régis Vander. In the 44th minute, Sousa's Valdir Gaúcho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0.

Régis Vander stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valdir Gaúcho's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute.
