Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Waldir Castro started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oswaldo Bastos in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafa Baiano saved Quatinga FC from getting behind. After some careless play in the Quatinga FC defense, Natanael Linares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rafa Baiano. The Quatinga FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rafa Baiano should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Anhuma getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Mateus Fantini hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldir Castro in the 18th minute of play forced Anhuma's goalkeeper Tomás Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Natanael Linares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Anhuma's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quatinga FC the free kick. After 19 played minutes Anhuma got a freekick which was hit by Natanael Linares. Natanael Linares was shown his second yellow card after 21 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Anhuma getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Natanael Linares hit a great ball. Eliseu Saldanha hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Anhuma's zone, Waldir Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomás Senna came out of the goal and Waldir Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Arnaldo Palmeira fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quatinga FC's protests and gave Arnaldo Palmeira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd minute Waldir Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Augusto Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomás Senna having to interfere. Eliseu Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Quatinga FC's Arnaldo Palmeira got a free kick in the 38th minute. Eliseu Saldanha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafa Baiano having to make a save. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Marcelo Varela got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Tomás Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldir Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelo Varela made a kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Oswaldo Bastos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Anhuma's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oswaldo Bastos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 53rd match minute, Quatinga FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnaldo Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. Oswaldo Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the game, one of Anhuma:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 60 minutes, Quatinga FC's Váldson Mazza got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Tomás Senna. Marcelo Varela kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Tomás Senna made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Augusto Pinho in the 65th minute. Eliseu Saldanha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafa Baiano having to interfere. Waldir Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th minute, Ian Guerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 79th minute Oswaldo Bastos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafa Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafa Baiano having to interfere. Oswaldo Bastos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafa Baiano having to make a save. 85 minutes into the match, Quatinga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Oswaldo Bastos came free, but Rafa Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anhuma were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
