Luís Fernando Oliveira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thomás Toscano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, C.F. Minas Gerais's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fernando Oliveira came free, but Thomás Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, C.F. Minas Gerais's Róbson Maranhense sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Moisés Motta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Adriano Valadares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Thomás Toscano made a huge save. When Oscar Furlan came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the C.F. Minas Gerais fans jumped to their feet. In a very dangerous position, a player in Clube Oriente Petroleiro fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! The C.F. Minas Gerais players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Clube Oriente Petroleiro from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
