In the 3rd minute Thomás Brodel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moisés Motta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Thomás Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moisés Motta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomás Brodel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sidney Vianna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Moisés Motta made a huge save. Betinho Passos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wiliam Severo during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Quintino FC booed when Clube Oriente Petroleiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wiliam Severo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes in the game, Thomás Brodel fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Moisés Motta having to interfere. Valdir Arce came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Clube Oriente Petroleiro's Ronaldinho Moura. But to his dismay, Ronaldinho Moura quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Quintino FC's Valdir Arce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fernando Oliveira in the 43rd minute of play. If Adriano Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Fernando Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Arce having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís Fernando Oliveira was the one to do the kick off. Betinho Passos scored 1-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Moisés Motta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Luís Fernando Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Quintino FC's Valdir Arce got control of the ball when Adriano Valadares tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ronaldinho Moura's late challenge caught a Quintino FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronaldinho Moura helped the player get up and apologised. After 69 played minutes Clube Oriente Petroleiro got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldinho Moura. Laerte Donato took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Moisés Motta. Clube Oriente Petroleiro's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jefferson de Sousa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Quintino FC's Betinho Passos got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Moisés Motta came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Quintino FC's Thomás Brodel. But to his dismay, Thomás Brodel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After 81 played minutes Quintino FC got a freekick which was hit by José Vítor Bezerra. Adriano Valadares's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Valdir Arce skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 95 minutes into the game, Sidney Vianna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quintino FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clube Oriente Petroleiro the free kick. In the 95th match minute, Quintino FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidney Vianna to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Fernando Oliveira in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valdir Arce prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Quintino FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
