Tião Batista took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raúl Carvalho. Raúl Carvalho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Raúl Carvalho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mazinho Loyola's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Catalao's zone, Refik Halit Iğdırlı stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raúl Carvalho came out of the goal and Refik Halit Iğdırlı tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 11 minutes into the match, Refik Halit Iğdırlı notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Catalao's Raúl Carvalho. Raúl Carvalho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Paulo José Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Catalao's Raúl Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mazinho Loyola in the 17th minute of play. Refik Halit Iğdırlı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Raúl Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raúl Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mazinho Loyola, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Refik Halit Iğdırlı took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raúl Carvalho. Raúl Carvalho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After 26 minutes of play, Bacuriteua's Refik Halit Iğdırlı made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raúl Carvalho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mazinho Loyola in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raúl Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The throw-in from Benedito de Lara in the 31st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Bacuriteua's Luan Peres. Raúl Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mazinho Loyola in the 32nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mazinho Loyola in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raúl Carvalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Vladimir Gerber got free with Raúl Carvalho in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Raúl Carvalho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mazinho Loyola's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Raúl Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mazinho Loyola in the 58th minute of the match. After 58 played minutes Catalao got a freekick which was hit by Paulo José Sena. Luan Peres helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Catalao booed when Bacuriteua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luan Peres didn't get a good kick on the ball. 74 minutes in the game Osmar Pontes did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Paulo José Sena. In the 76th match minute, Catalao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osmar Pontes to maneuver through the defense. Mazinho Loyola blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raúl Carvalho having to make a save. 79 minutes into the match, Refik Halit Iğdırlı notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Catalao's Raúl Carvalho. Raúl Carvalho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 83 minutes into the game, Catalao's João Augusto Damião nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Júlio Tróia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-7. Mazinho Loyola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Carvalho having to interfere. 1-8 became the score in the 92nd minute when Mazinho Loyola elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 95 minutes into the game, Paulo José Sena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Catalao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bacuriteua the free kick. After 95 played minutes Catalao got a freekick which was hit by Paulo José Sena. Bacuriteua's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
