After having played for 7 minutes, Tadeu das Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Presidente FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tadeu das Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tadeu das Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Maurício Gaspar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elano Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Léo Travassos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elano Romero got free with Léo Travassos in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cleiton Correia during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cleiton Correia kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elano Romero in the 24th minute of play forced Presidente FC's goalkeeper Léo Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alfredinho Quadros took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Léo Travassos. Léo Travassos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. If Elano Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Léo Travassos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredinho Quadros in the 40th minute. Alfredinho Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Presidente FC's zone, Elano Romero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Léo Travassos came out of the goal and Elano Romero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Celeste SC's Maurício Gaspar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeu das Neves in the 46th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elano Romero to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adriano de Amaral during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Elano Romero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Léo Travassos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elano Romero struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Léo Travassos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Celeste SC. Maurício Gaspar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tadeu das Neves's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. In the 76th match minute, Celeste SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleiton Correia to maneuver through the defense. Presidente FC's Léo Travassos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elano Romero in the 82nd minute of play. Tadeu das Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Tadeu das Neves kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Maurício Gaspar. That made the score 2-1 in the 95 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Celeste SC had won after a very even match.
