The goal made the score 1-0. Vikings's Ricardinho Almeida proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Vikings from getting a goal against them. Rubinho Coelho came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Vikings's João Carlos Teles. But to his dismay, João Carlos Teles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The audience was convinced that João Carlos Teles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rubinho Coelho was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. 21 minutes into the game, Giuseppe Queiroz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Rubinho Coelho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Giuseppe Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubinho Coelho having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giuseppe Queiroz in the 32nd minute of play forced Mariola's goalkeeper Rubinho Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rubinho Coelho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João Carlos Teles's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the match, João Carlos Teles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rubinho Coelho. Mariola's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Carlos Teles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diogo Melo made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Vikings's Noel Rossi got a free kick in the 54th minute. Ricardinho Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diogo Melo in the 56th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Giuseppe Queiroz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rubinho Coelho. Mariola's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Giuseppe Queiroz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Jacinto das Neves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rubinho Coelho having to make a save. Rubinho Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto das Neves in the 69th minute of the match. Dinei Siqueira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ricardinho Almeida. Vikings's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ricardinho Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Roberto Prado in the 72nd minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Vikings's goal looked a bit too open when Jarbas Sabóia came free, but Ricardinho Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Carlos Teles who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Rubinho Coelho when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jarbas Sabóia hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match.
