In the 16th minute Dorian Brasil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardinho Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giuseppe Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If João Carlos Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 22 minutes, Felipe de Barros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the São José FC and the Vikings players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Vikings booed when São José FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe de Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcus Hermes made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Giuseppe Queiroz sent off a good shot on target. Giuseppe Queiroz took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcus Hermes. Marcus Hermes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Vikings walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
