But to his dismay, Jarbas Sabóia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Diogo Melo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Afonso Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Jarbas Sabóia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Afonso Catarinense. That made the score 1-2 in the 64 minute of play. If Víktor Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diogo Melo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Afonso Catarinense having to make a save.
