In the 22nd minute, Evaristo de Andrade got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Evaristo de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chiquinho Senna in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rubinho Coelho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Evaristo de Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mariola's Rubinho Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chiquinho Senna in the 52nd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Chiquinho Senna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Funorte Esporte Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Rômulo do Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diogo Melo in the 59th minute of play. Alfredinho Campidelis's late challenge caught a Funorte Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfredinho Campidelis helped the player get up and apologised. Alfredinho Campidelis kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Rubinho Coelho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chiquinho Senna's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Zé Roberto Prado hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Chiquinho Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Rubinho Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Agnaldo Duarte sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Mariola's Rubinho Coelho didn't even have to move. Rubinho Coelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Fábio Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diogo Melo in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rômulo do Valle saved Funorte Esporte Clube from getting behind. In the 79th minute, Funorte Esporte Clube's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Diogo Melo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Rômulo do Valle made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Jarbas Sabóia sent off a good shot on target. In the 85th minute, Régis das Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the match, Evaristo de Andrade had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rubinho Coelho. Mariola's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evaristo de Andrade was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0.
