The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With his leg Olívio Ramalho managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Celeste SC's Alfredinho Quadros fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Elano Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfredinho Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olívio Ramalho having to interfere. Celeste SC's Alfredinho Quadros managed to work through Condus's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Alfredinho Quadros dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredinho Quadros got free with Olívio Ramalho in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alfredinho Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olívio Ramalho having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elano Romero was the one to do the kick off. Olívio Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elano Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The tension between the Celeste SC and the Condus players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 62 played minutes Celeste SC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Eduardo Vander. Christiano Favoretto hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredinho Quadros in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olívio Ramalho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Olívio Ramalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredinho Quadros in the 81st minute of the match. In the 87thth minute of the game Elano Romero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Condus's Olívio Ramalho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Alfredinho Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute Elano Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olívio Ramalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olívio Ramalho came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Celeste SC's Elano Romero. But to his dismay, Elano Romero quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The audience was convinced that Alfredinho Quadros's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olívio Ramalho was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Celeste SC fully deserved thier win.
