Spectators: 7156 (Terracing: 5511, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 145) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Pedro Augusto Costa took the kick off in the first half of the match. Haroldo Mineiro charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Haroldo Mineiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 4 played minutes Carnaubas got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Mineiro. When Santa Lúcia FC's Christiano Diniz in the 6th minute got a chance for a shot 6th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carnaubas's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Christiano Diniz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mateus Freitas was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Pedro Augusto Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Sílvio Luís Terra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carnaubas's goalkeeper Mateus Freitas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christiano Diniz in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mateus Freitas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Santa Lúcia FC's Nicolas Loyola got a free kick in the 16th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Carnaubas's zone, Christiano Diniz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateus Freitas came out of the goal and Christiano Diniz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Santa Lúcia FC's Christiano Diniz in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carnaubas's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Carnaubas getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Roberto Couto hit a great ball. Sílvio Luís Terra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celso Souto in the 32nd minute. After some careless play in the Carnaubas defense, Nicolas Loyola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mateus Freitas. The Carnaubas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mateus Freitas should have stopped the shot. Anísio Monteiro hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The Carnaubas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Santa Lúcia FC were winning 0-1.

Mateus Freitas made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Nicolas Loyola sent off a good shot on target. If Christiano Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Carnaubas's Roberto Couto got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Mateus Freitas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christiano Diniz's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. In the 68th minute Christiano Diniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateus Freitas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st minute, Christiano Diniz made a precise shot to the right of Mateus Freitas. Carnaubas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Carnaubas's Haroldo Mineiro got his second yellow card of the match in the 77th minute. The referee ordered Haroldo Mineiro off the ground. A collision led to Carnaubas getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Haroldo Mineiro hit a great ball. Mateus Freitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christiano Diniz in the 82nd minute of play. Evair Paulino's late challenge caught a Santa Lúcia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evair Paulino helped the player get up and apologised. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Carnaubas! After a rather tough play, Carnaubas's Celso Souto got a free kick in the 90th minute. If Nicolas Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santa Lúcia FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
