Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jacuricy EC's Carlos Eduardo Gomes got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 6th minute, Yuri Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kléber Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Osmar Vidal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Eduardo Gomes got free with Osmar Vidal in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Sílvio Luís de Lima kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Osmar Vidal. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. Romário Vander kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Carlos Eduardo Gomes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Osmar Vidal. The goal made the score 2-0. Genílson Valadares's shot from long distance in the 21st minute was not bad at all, but Grêmio FBPA's Osmar Vidal knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. In the 23rd minute, Carlos Eduardo Gomes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osmar Vidal was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Grêmio FBPA's Osmar Vidal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luís de Lima in the 27th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Jacuricy EC's Kléber Paraibano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Osmar Vidal. That made the score 4-0 after 36 minutes of play. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grêmio FBPA's goalkeeper Osmar Vidal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Eriberto Duarte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grêmio FBPA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eriberto Duarte to strike the kick off in the second half. Osmar Vidal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kléber Paraibano in the 57th minute of the match. Sílvio Luís de Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Grêmio FBPA booed when Jacuricy EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luís de Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th match minute, Jacuricy EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romário Vander to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 77 minutes, Sílvio Luís de Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jacuricy EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sílvio Luís de Lima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Romário Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, Kléber Paraibano notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Grêmio FBPA's Osmar Vidal. Osmar Vidal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 84 minutes into the game, Laerte Lucas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jacuricy EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grêmio FBPA the free kick. In the 84th match minute, Jacuricy EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laerte Lucas to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Jacuricy EC's zone, Geovanni Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Marquez came out of the goal and Geovanni Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 89 minutes, Romário Vander managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jacuricy EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romário Vander was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Grêmio FBPA's Yuri Dias got a free kick in the 92nd minute. When the referee ended the match the Jacuricy EC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
