Yan Baiano's late challenge caught a SC Corinthians Taboao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yan Baiano helped the player get up and apologised. Yan Baiano hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Vito Favoretto charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vito Favoretto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Richard Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yan Baiano in the 22nd minute of the match. SC SCAFF UNITED's Norberto de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Meireles in the 26th minute of play. After 28 minutes of play SC SCAFF UNITED's Yan Baiano was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 28th match minute, SC SCAFF UNITED was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yan Baiano to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of SC Corinthians Taboao booed when SC SCAFF UNITED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiaguinho Barral didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Meireles in the 32nd minute of play forced SC SCAFF UNITED's goalkeeper Norberto de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norberto de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Meireles, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The supporters of SC Corinthians Taboao booed when SC SCAFF UNITED was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Gerber could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Norberto de Amaral made a huge save. Richard Santana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiaguinho Barral's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Norberto de Amaral was out of position in the 47 minute of play, and Cipriano Meireles capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cipriano Meireles really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiaguinho Barral to strike the kick off in the second half. Cipriano Meireles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Norberto de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cipriano Meireles in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Norberto de Amaral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 57th minute Cipriano Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute Ramiro Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cipriano Meireles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Norberto de Amaral having to make a save. In the 65th minute Cipriano Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cipriano Meireles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. SC SCAFF UNITED's Norberto de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mané Cabral in the 68th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, SC SCAFF UNITED's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Meireles came free, but Norberto de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Silvinho Velasco fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Corinthians Taboao's protests and gave Silvinho Velasco a yellow card for diving instead. Norberto de Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Meireles in the 75th minute of the match. Norberto de Amaral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ramiro Gerber's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC SCAFF UNITED's goalkeeper Norberto de Amaral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Norberto de Amaral came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Corinthians Taboao's Ramiro Gerber. But to his dismay, Ramiro Gerber quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in SC SCAFF UNITED's zone, Ramiro Gerber stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norberto de Amaral came out of the goal and Ramiro Gerber tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Ramiro Gerber's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Norberto de Amaral was relentless in the 98th minute of the game. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. SC Corinthians Taboao had played much better football throughout.
