Espinosense F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Richard Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José dos Santos in the 86th minute of play. Cipriano Meireles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Luiz Eduardo Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clóvis Meireles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Tiago Lara fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Espinosense F.C's protests and gave Tiago Lara a yellow card for diving instead. After some careless play in the Espinosense F.C defense, Cipriano Meireles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Eduardo Pernambucano. The Espinosense F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Eduardo Pernambucano should have stopped the shot. SC Corinthians Taboao walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
