Cipriano Meireles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuca Nóbrega having to interfere. After having played for 9 minutes, Cipriano Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Corinthians Taboao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cipriano Meireles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Cipriano Meireles, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 10 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Samuca Nóbrega was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Toca I Saii's zone, Ramiro Gerber stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuca Nóbrega came out of the goal and Ramiro Gerber tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the SC Corinthians Taboao defense, Dedé Leal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Richard Santana. The SC Corinthians Taboao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Richard Santana should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Toca I Saii's zone, Clóvis Meireles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuca Nóbrega came out of the goal and Clóvis Meireles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 25 minutes into the match, SC Corinthians Taboao's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Cunha came free, but Richard Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Richard Santana made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Dedé Leal sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 35 minutes, Cipriano Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, SC Corinthians Taboao's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Cunha came free, but Richard Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adalberto Velloso during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Adalberto Velloso kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Augusto Cunha made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Augusto Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cipriano Meireles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, SC Corinthians Taboao's Samuca Nóbrega threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cipriano Meireles, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Cipriano Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Corinthians Taboao's supporters rose to their feet, but Cipriano Meireles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuca Nóbrega breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Toca I Saii booed when SC Corinthians Taboao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Didi Severo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rdth minute of the game Dedé Leal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Corinthians Taboao's Richard Santana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Richard Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dedé Leal in the 75th minute of the match. Richard Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dedé Leal in the 80th minute of play. Samuca Nóbrega came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Corinthians Taboao's Ramiro Gerber. But to his dismay, Ramiro Gerber quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When Luiz Fabiano Mazza fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Corinthians Taboao's protests and gave Luiz Fabiano Mazza a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th match minute, SC Corinthians Taboao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fabiano Mazza to maneuver through the defense. The audience held their breath when Vágner Tande in the 93rd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Richard Santana's left hand side. After 94 minutes, Silvinho Velasco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Corinthians Taboao and the Toca I Saii players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SC Corinthians Taboao getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Silvinho Velasco hit a great ball. In the 96th minute, Dedé Leal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the SC Corinthians Taboao players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
