Spectators: 6652 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1652, VIP seats: 0) João Vítor Garcia made the kick off and thus started the match. 7 minutes into the match, Vitorinos's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmo de Salles came free, but Marco Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 8 minutes, João Vítor Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vitorinos's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Vítor Garcia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sidney Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ulysses Marques made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Sidney Quadros sent off a good shot on target. 17 minutes into the game, Miguel do Nascimento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hakuna Matata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vitorinos the free kick. A collision led to Hakuna Matata getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Miguel do Nascimento hit a great ball. João Vítor Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Dalmo de Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hakuna Matata's supporters rose to their feet, but Dalmo de Salles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Rocha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jorge Donato hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute of the match Luizão de Carvalho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marco Rocha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Vitorinos's João Vítor Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. João Vítor Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulysses Marques having to interfere. If João Vítor Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dalmo de Salles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. João Vítor Garcia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Duarte Correias short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Marco Rocha to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Vitorinos booed when Hakuna Matata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisinho Brasil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vitorinos's Túlio Terra couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 64th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Hakuna Matata. In the 69th minute João Vítor Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulysses Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodolfo Meira's late challenge caught a Vitorinos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodolfo Meira helped the player get up and apologised. Ulysses Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Quadros, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Dalmo de Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Rocha having to interfere. If Duarte Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute Dalmo de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After recieving a nice pass, Hakuna Matata's Luizão de Carvalho tried to score from far away in the 89th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Vitorinos's zone, Rodolfo Meira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marco Rocha came out of the goal and Rodolfo Meira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hakuna Matata's Duarte Correia got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vitorinos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hakuna Matata had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
