Osmar Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Santana having to interfere. After 10 played minutes Bela Vista got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Zanette. Cipriano Meireles might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aírton de Alcântara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cipriano Meireles ran back to his position shaking his head. 14 minutes into the game, Bela Vista's Osmar Toledo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Richard Santana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Richard Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Róbson Tinoco in the 20th minute of the match. Aírton de Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Meireles, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Cipriano Meireles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Aírton de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 25 minutes, Róbson Tinoco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bela Vista and the SC Corinthians Taboao players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th minute, Róbson Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aírton de Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Meireles in the 28th minute of the match. Ramiro Gerber struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Aírton de Alcântara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Corinthians Taboao. In the 34th minute, Cipriano Meireles fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 38th minute, Mané Cabral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Corinthians Taboao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Meireles in the 44th minute of play forced Bela Vista's goalkeeper Aírton de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aírton de Alcântara was a little too slow when Douglas da Silveira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cipriano Meireles to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of SC Corinthians Taboao booed when Bela Vista was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Róbson Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cipriano Meireles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aírton de Alcântara having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Bela Vista's zone, Cipriano Meireles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aírton de Alcântara came out of the goal and Cipriano Meireles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Douglas da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Bela Vista's Nilson Trancoso got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute of the match Ramiro Gerber sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aírton de Alcântara skillfully saved the ball. Aírton de Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Meireles, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas da Silveira in the 73rd minute of play forced Bela Vista's goalkeeper Aírton de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cipriano Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the match, Bela Vista's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Meireles came free, but Aírton de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ramiro Gerber scored 3-1 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aírton de Alcântara, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Bela Vista getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Róbson Tinoco hit a great ball. Aírton de Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiro Gerber in the 89th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, SC Corinthians Taboao's Cipriano Meireles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aírton de Alcântara narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Clóvis Meireles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aírton de Alcântara having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the SC Corinthians Taboao players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
