Atlético Reds Clube's Nilson Cerezo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpected shot in the 60th minute by Rui de Alcântara got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Viela Paulista FC's Jonas Paiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Viela Paulista FC from getting a goal against them. Luizão Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Paiva having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Atlético Reds Clube eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
