Thanks to some nice moves Juan Salgado could shoot a difficult shot in the 5th minute, which Erik Fontes however easily saved by the left post. Emílio Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugênio Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. The audience was convinced that Fernandinho Paraíba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emílio Macedo was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. In the 12th match minute, River Piauiense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcinho Bastos to maneuver through the defense. Edgard Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Fontes having to interfere. Juvenal Paraibano kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Fernandinho Paraíba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Emílio Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erik Fontes made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Elano Mandrak sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in All Garrafa's zone, Elano Mandrak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erik Fontes came out of the goal and Elano Mandrak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elano Mandrak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Erik Fontes made a huge save. Eugênio Sena took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emílio Macedo. Emílio Macedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 37 minutes into the match, All Garrafa's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Gonçalves came free, but Erik Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Elano Mandrak managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Piauiense's supporters rose to their feet, but Elano Mandrak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erik Fontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Allan Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Erik Fontes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elano Mandrak in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute Fernandinho Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emílio Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half All Garrafa were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Eugênio Sena made the kick off in the second half. When Eugênio Sena fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored All Garrafa's protests and gave Eugênio Sena a yellow card for diving instead. After 53 played minutes All Garrafa got a freekick which was hit by Eugênio Sena. Emílio Macedo made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Fernandinho Paraíba sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 59 minutes, Fernandinho Paraíba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. All Garrafa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernandinho Paraíba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edgard Gonçalves charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgard Gonçalves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Edgard Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 65 minutes into the game, Eugênio Sena recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Emílio Macedo. Eugênio Sena showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Hernani de Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in River Piauiense's zone, Eugênio Sena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emílio Macedo came out of the goal and Eugênio Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th minute Allan Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emílio Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elano Mandrak's late challenge caught a All Garrafa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elano Mandrak helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd match minute, River Piauiense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elano Mandrak to maneuver through the defense. Olov Bogren kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. If Eugênio Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, Eugênio Sena dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Emílio Macedo, 0-3. The River Piauiense fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. All Garrafa were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
