A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, PITBULLOCO - ZL's goal looked a bit too open when Gerson Velasco came free, but Pedrinho da Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Fernandinho Matos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PITBULLOCO - ZL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pinhaozeiro the free kick. After 19 played minutes PITBULLOCO - ZL got a freekick which was hit by Fernandinho Matos. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cafu Diniz got free with Gilmar Pimenta in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Pinhaozeiro's José Maria Brito got a free kick in the 24th minute. When Pinhaozeiro's Gerson Velasco in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Percy Secco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilmar Pimenta having to interfere. After 42 played minutes PITBULLOCO - ZL got a freekick which was hit by Percy Secco. If Vito Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Augusto Rosado made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerson Velasco in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedrinho da Silveira saved PITBULLOCO - ZL from getting behind. Pedrinho da Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerson Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gilmar Pimenta came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by PITBULLOCO - ZL's Cafu Diniz. But to his dismay, Cafu Diniz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Clóvis Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. When Vito Pontes came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Pinhaozeiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vito Pontes couldn't finish the play. Gerson Velasco was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 66th minute. Pinhaozeiro's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Vito Pontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Pedrinho da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, one of Pinhaozeiro:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pinhaozeiro. If João Augusto Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luciano Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Pedrinho da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 84 played minutes Gerson Velasco rounded PITBULLOCO - ZL's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. 90 minutes into the match, PITBULLOCO - ZL's goalkeeper Pedrinho da Silveira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vito Pontes. Pedrinho da Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerson Velasco in the 92nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the PITBULLOCO - ZL defense, Gerson Velasco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedrinho da Silveira. The PITBULLOCO - ZL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedrinho da Silveira should have stopped the shot. Cafu Diniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilmar Pimenta having to interfere. In the 97th match minute, Pinhaozeiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Maria Brito to maneuver through the defense. PITBULLOCO - ZL's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marcelo Furtado in the 100th minute. Cido de Sena made a great header on PITBULLOCO - ZL's corner, it was just that Pinhaozeiro's Gilmar Pimenta managed to reach the ball for a save. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
