Percival Neiva who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 8thth minute tested the skills of Evandro Figueiredo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márcio Trancoso in the 11th minute of play forced Terrão FC's goalkeeper Benjamim de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Waldemar Meireles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Benjamim de Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedrão Sanches hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Márcio Trancoso in the 15th minute of play forced Terrão FC's goalkeeper Benjamim de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamim de Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Meireles in the 17th minute of play. After 18 played minutes Marvai SC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Guilherme Mesquita. If Teodoro Paraense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Márcio Trancoso in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benjamim de Sousa saved Terrão FC from getting behind. Terrão FC's Benjamim de Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Márcio Trancoso in the 27th minute of play. Benjamim de Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Márcio Trancoso in the 31st minute of the match. Benjamim de Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldemar Meireles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Waldemar Meireles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamim de Sousa having to interfere. Percival Neiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Evandro Figueiredo made a huge save. When Márcio Trancoso came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Marvai SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Márcio Trancoso couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Teodoro Paraense made the kick off in the second half. Percival Neiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Terrão FC's Pedrão Sanches got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Márcio Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Benjamim de Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Percival Neiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Evandro Figueiredo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. If Márcio Trancoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cauã Souto's late challenge caught a Marvai SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
