Pinhaozeiro's Gilmar Pimenta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Paraense in the 8th minute of play. In the 10thth minute of the game Teodoro Paraense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pinhaozeiro's Gilmar Pimenta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Percival Neivas short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Gilmar Pimenta to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Terrão FC fans' excitement grew in the 25th match minute when Terrão FC's Teodoro Paraense looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pinhaozeiro's goalkeeper Gilmar Pimenta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Teodoro Paraense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerson Velasco made a kick off. Terrão FC's Percival Neiva got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 56th minute Percival Neiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilmar Pimenta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vito Pontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Percival Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 68th match minute, Terrão FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrão Sanches to maneuver through the defense. If Vito Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Terrão FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gerson Velasco 85 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. Gilmar Pimenta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teodoro Paraense went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Gilmar Pimenta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Paraense in the 96th minute of play. Teodoro Paraense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Gilmar Pimenta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Pinhaozeiro players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Terrão FC.
