After 16 played minutes, da Loop's André Luiz Toledo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leopoldo Leme came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in da Loop reached it. Alfredinho Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Leopoldo Leme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cafu Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Leme having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Mosby FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cafu Aguiar came free, but Leopoldo Leme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. da Loop's Alfredinho Leão got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ciro Proença sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, da Loop's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Diguinho Nogueira fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 39th minute, Alfredinho Leão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leopoldo Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredinho Leão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leopoldo Leme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredinho Leão in the 45th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 97th minute, Diguinho Nogueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. da Loop's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
