In the 6th minute Agostinho Mendes suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 6 minutes into the game, Breno Loyola was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tar ar ais's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mundial FC the free kick. In the 8th match minute, Tar ar ais was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Breno Loyola to maneuver through the defense. After 9 played minutes Mundial FC got a freekick which was hit by Arlindo de Amorim. Erik Sanches fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrão Vergílio having to interfere. Erik Sanches received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Pedrão Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Mundial FC's goal looked a bit too open when Breno Loyola came free, but Vladislav Samsonov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Erik Sanches came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Mundial FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erik Sanches couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breno Loyola in the 29th minute of play forced Mundial FC's goalkeeper Vladislav Samsonov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes in the game, Erik Sanches fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Pedrão Vergílio having to interfere. In the 32nd minute of the match, Erik Sanches tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pedrão Vergílio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 33 minutes of play, Mundial FC's Osvaldo Soares made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pedrão Vergílio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Erik Sanches struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Pedrão Vergílio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mundial FC. Erik Sanches sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 42 played minutes Tar ar ais got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio Freitas. After a rather tough play, Tar ar ais's Cláudio Freitas got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Breno Loyola was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Cláudio Freitas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Breno Loyola managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tar ar ais's supporters rose to their feet, but Breno Loyola was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vladislav Samsonov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 64 minutes into the match, Osvaldo Soares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedrão Vergílio. Tar ar ais's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osvaldo Soares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Erik Sanches received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Pedrão Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Erik Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. William Sousa hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute Cláudio Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladislav Samsonov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Erik Sanches came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Mundial FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erik Sanches couldn't finish the play.
