Só o Pó F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Yan Albuquerque was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th minute Yan Albuquerque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delfim Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee ignored Mipul Malvadão™'s protests and gave Váldson Sousa a yellow card for diving instead. Mipul Malvadão™'s Delfim Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genílson Tróia in the 35th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Ronaldão Ramalho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Váldson Sousa's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. Delfim Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hélio Teles in the 58th minute of play. The Mipul Malvadão™ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delfim Almeida should have stopped the shot. A collision led to C.A. Só o Pó F.C. getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. With an all-out effort, C.A. Só o Pó F.C.'s Delfim Almeida threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hélio Teles, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Delfim Almeida was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Hélio Teles showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 91 minute of play. Rodrigo Rezende hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched C.A. Só o Pó F.C. eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
