Narciso Urbano charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Jeferson de Lara took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jaime Tande. Elesbao AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Angelo de Moraes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jaime Tande read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Diogo Vargas was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 29 minutes into the match. One of Mipul Malvadão™:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Elesbao AD:s goal. The referee gave Elesbao AD a penalty, 32 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Pedro de Toledo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mipul Malvadão™'s Delfim Almeida. 1-2. Delfim Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Vítor Jacinto in the 37th minute of the match. In the 39thth minute of the game Gino de Amorim who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mipul Malvadão™'s Delfim Almeida was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Elesbao AD's Narciso Urbano got his second yellow card of the match in the 44th minute. The referee ordered Narciso Urbano off the ground. A collision led to Elesbao AD getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Narciso Urbano hit a great ball. Jaime Tande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo de Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half Elesbao AD were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The supporters of Mipul Malvadão™ booed when Elesbao AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Vítor Jacinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eduardo Zonta kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. A collision led to Mipul Malvadão™ getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Claudinho Palmeira hit a great ball. Gino de Amorim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Delfim Almeida made a huge save. In the 95th match minute, Mipul Malvadão™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lúcio Fonseca to maneuver through the defense.
