Crisopolis
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Armando Baiano started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute, Edvaldo Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celso Cerezo got free with Hélio Dias in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rodriguinho Aguiar hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Clóvis Vides recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 23 minutes into the match, Crisopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Reis came free, but Luisinho Pitta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When José Maria de Salles came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Crisopolis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Maria de Salles couldn't finish the play. If Celso Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Reis in the 27th minute of play forced Crisopolis's goalkeeper Luisinho Pitta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luisinho Pitta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Baiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Celso Cerezo made a kick off. When Celso Cerezo fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Crisopolis's protests and gave Celso Cerezo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Crisopolis getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Luisinho Pitta was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Armando Baiano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 56 minute of play. Benê Melo made in the 64th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Zézinho Sarmento however managed to control. Crisopolis's Celso Cerezo got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 67 minutes into the game, Edvaldo Brito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Camboriu FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Crisopolis the free kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Camboriu FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
