The coaching staff of Taubaté E.C protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Vitório Arantes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 31 played minutes Taubaté E.C got a freekick which was hit by Vitório Arantes. In the 32nd minute, Geraldo Barreto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rony Arruda was the one to do the kick off. Luisinho Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lauro Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ulysses Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Rony Arruda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 66 minutes into the game, Taubaté E.C's Rony Arruda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luisinho Souza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 69 played minutes Flora got a freekick which was hit by Wiliam Bittencourt. 73 minutes into the match, Belmiro Bezerra notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Flora's Luisinho Souza. Luisinho Souza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luisinho Souza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Taubaté E.C's Ulysses Arruda got control of the ball when Marcus Marques tried to sneak it across the goal line. Taubaté E.C's Ulysses Arruda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Taubaté E.C from getting a goal against them.
