After 3 played minutes Alexandre got a freekick which was hit by Aloísio Moreira. Jano Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bebeto Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mané Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. The supporters of Alexandre booed when Urbro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Maciel didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mané Fonseca in the 11th minute of play forced Urbro's goalkeeper Bebeto Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th match minute, Urbro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Germano Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. Dieguinho Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bebeto Queirós having to interfere. Geraldo Vasconcelos kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the game, Mané Fonseca recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bebeto Queirós. Mané Fonseca showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Mané Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bebeto Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dieguinho Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 31 minutes into the game, Caio do Valle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alexandre's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Urbro the free kick. 32 minutes into the game, Urbro's Glauco Soeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jano Arósio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Mané Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bebeto Queirós having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Alexandre's Douglas Custódio got a free kick in the 41st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Dieguinho Miranda kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bebeto Queirós. That made the score 2-1 in the 46 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

52 minutes into the game, Bruno Neiva recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jano Arósio. Bruno Neiva showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Bruno Neiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dieguinho Miranda in the 56th minute of play forced Urbro's goalkeeper Bebeto Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 59 played minutes, Urbro's Paulo Paraense shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jano Arósio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Urbro reached it. After a rather tough play, Alexandre's Haroldo Capixaba got a free kick in the 60th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Glauco Soeiro got free with Jano Arósio in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mané Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Bebeto Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alexandre. In the 88th minute, Mané Fonseca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bebeto Queirós was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 92nd minute Mané Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bebeto Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Alexandre fully deserved thier win.
