Valdomiro Berger was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 29th match minute, Frecheiras FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ademir de Queirós to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Frecheiras FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Ronaldo Alvarenga hit a great ball. Bernardinho Netto, 31 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Vânderson Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Dietrichz FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Rui Macedo hit a great ball. After 37 minutes, Vânderson Félix mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Frecheiras FC and the Dietrichz FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vânderson Félix got his second yellow card in the match during the 40th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Gláuber Figueiredo might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tadeu Rezende. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gláuber Figueiredo ran back to his position shaking his head. Frecheiras FC's Tadeu Rezende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vito Salles in the 50th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Vito Salles in the 55th minute of play forced Frecheiras FC's goalkeeper Tadeu Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruninho Soares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd minute, Sebastião Ferraz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bruninho Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vito Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruninho Soares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Valdomiro Berger made a huge save. After 74 played minutes Dietrichz FC got a freekick which was hit by Duda do Vale. After a rather tough play, Dietrichz FC's Sebastião Ferraz got a free kick in the 76th minute. Luís Fabiano Hoffmann was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 76th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Bruninho Soares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valdomiro Berger having to make a save. Dietrichz FC's Vito Salles got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 89th minute, Waldemar Netto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vito Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeu Rezende having to interfere. Tadeu Rezende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vito Salles in the 94th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Dietrichz FC's zone, Ademir de Queirós stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdomiro Berger came out of the goal and Ademir de Queirós tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Dietrichz FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
