Bebeto Queirós came out of the goal and Luiz Guilherme de Mendonça tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Raúl Prestes had great luck who in the 23rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Bruno Neiva from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Urbro's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Paulo Paraense in the 25th minute. A nice corner shot did that Paulo Paraense got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Raúl Prestes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Luan Domingues charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luan Domingues the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th match minute, Meriti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luan Domingues to maneuver through the defense.

Meriti's Raúl Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Neiva in the 52nd minute of play. In the 97th minute of the match Orlando Carvalho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raúl Prestes skillfully saved the ball. When Germano Palmeira came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the Urbro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Germano Palmeira couldn't finish the play. Urbro were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Meriti for a fine match.
