Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Yuri Aparecido started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Calcoene's Flavinho Vianna got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Claudinho Neves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Maurinho Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitório Alvarenga having to interfere. Vitório Alvarenga came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Calcoene's Maurinho Lago. But to his dismay, Maurinho Lago quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Vitório Alvarenga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maurinho Lago in the 24th minute. After 25 played minutes FC Leões got a freekick which was hit by Wilson de Castro. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maurinho Lago got free with Vitório Alvarenga in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Calcoene's Juarês Lira got a free kick in the 28th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 33 minutes into the game, when Matías Alves put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Leões fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 32nd minute. Penalty! A collision led to FC Leões getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Nilmar Nogueira hit a great ball. The supporters of FC Leões booed when Calcoene was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dito Secco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cauã Leão's late challenge caught a Calcoene's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cauã Leão helped the player get up and apologised. After 45 played minutes FC Leões got a freekick which was hit by Cauã Leão. Maurinho Lago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antônio Meirelles to strike the kick off in the second half. Vitório Alvarenga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurinho Lago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 54 minutes into the match, Maurinho Lago notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of FC Leões's Vitório Alvarenga. Vitório Alvarenga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Calcoene's Maurinho Lago got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho Neves in the 61st minute of play forced Calcoene's goalkeeper Dorival Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the match, FC Leões's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Meirelles came free, but Vitório Alvarenga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Antônio Meirelles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vitório Alvarenga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antônio Meirelles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Calcoene getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Juarês Lira hit a great ball. Vitório Alvarenga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurinho Lago's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Antônio Meirelles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vitório Alvarenga. FC Leões's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antônio Meirelles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. FC Leões's Vitório Alvarenga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Meirelles in the 93rd minute of play. Vitório Alvarenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio Meirelles in the 96th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Calcoene had won after a very even match.
