Spectators: 5001 (Terracing: 4001, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Brochier's Emerson Lucas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Walmyr Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emerson Lucas in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juarês Mesquita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rodolfo Pinho hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute of the match Waldir Trevisan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Norberto Paraíba skillfully saved the ball. Brochier's Emerson Lucas got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emerson Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juarês Mesquita having to interfere. 21 minutes into the game, Brochier's Rodolfo Pinho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Juarês Mesquita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. With an all-out effort, Brochier's Juarês Mesquita threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Osvaldinho Nóbrega, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Curicica's Luiz Fábio Linhares got a free kick in the 27th minute. Rodolfo Pinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodolfo Pinho got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 2-0 in the right cross in the 34th match minute before Juarês Mesquita had time to react. A collision led to Brochier getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Adrianinho Xavier hit a great ball. Norberto Paraíba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Víktor Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After having played for 45 minutes, Walmyr Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curicica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Walmyr Travassos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute of the match Silas Branco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Norberto Paraíba skillfully saved the ball.

After a rather tough play, Curicica's Luiz Fábio Linhares got a free kick in the 59th minute. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Curicica's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Richard Arósio was slow to take the kick. During this time Brochier's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Víktor Alcântara in the 67th minute of play forced Brochier's goalkeeper Norberto Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Emerson Lucas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brochier's goalkeeper Norberto Paraíba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Brochier's zone, Walmyr Travassos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norberto Paraíba came out of the goal and Walmyr Travassos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Víktor Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Curicica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Víktor Alcântara couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Brochier getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Osvaldinho Nóbrega hit a great ball. Walmyr Travassos struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Norberto Paraíba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Curicica. The audience thought a goal was coming when Walmyr Travassos got free with Norberto Paraíba in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. For all the effort they put into the match, the Curicica players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Brochier.
