FC Leões's Yuri Aparecido got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredinho de Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitório Alvarenga having to interfere. If Yuri Aparecido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antônio Carlos Carvalho during the 34th minute. Hamílton Vander went to the wrong direction when Ronaldão Novaes was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Yuri Aparecido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Natã de Souza fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Diversus F.C.'s protests and gave Natã de Souza a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Diversus F.C. getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Natã de Souza hit a great ball. Natã de Souza was shown his second yellow card after 83 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Hamílton Vander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinho Neves in the 92nd minute of play. 98 minutes into the match, Diversus F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Claudinho Neves came free, but Hamílton Vander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
